Albert Rocard has signed a tennis scholarship with the University of South Carolina Sumter, a Junior College located in South Carolina.

Albert Rocard is from Napier, located on the east coast of the North Island in New Zealand. Albert has played tennis throughout his teenage years and decided to put the rackets away in his senior year in high school. However a few years later Albert decided he wanted to pursue the US college dream and approached us wanting help and we got to work right away. In 2018 he signed with USC Sumter to kickstart his college tennis campaign.

USC Sumter is one of the top junior colleges in the college system and based on last season their current ranking inside the top ten in the country. The NCAA funds the junior college system. It is a stepping stone for athletes who may not meet NCAA four year college requirements. Athletes complete their Freshman and Sophomore years at Junior College and then transfer
to a four-year college to complete their Junior and Senior years.

USC Sumter competes against schools across many states including North Carolina, Georgia, and New York. Recently USC Sumter was competing at Flushing Meadows, the home of the US Open.

Albert has just completed his Freshman year at USC Sumter and what a year he has had. He has won deciding matches for his team and is continuing to improve every week. We are very excited to see how Albert competes in August 2019. Go Fire Ants!
