Cooper has signed for the newly revamped Eastern New Mexico University. After a record breaking season in 2019 the program was unfortunately cut due to Covid. Thanks to a number of benefactors and support they were able to reinstate the program for the upcoming Fall 2022 season. ENMU is amazingly the only NCAA Men’s Soccer program in the state of New Mexico. They have a some quality facilities including Greyhound stadium and compete in NCAA Division 2 in the Lone Star Conference.

Cooper is from Auckland, New Zealand and signed up with Platform back in August 2021. He is a talented midfielder with the ambition to play in a competitive environment, testing his skills as much as possible, while also getting a degree. Cooper attended Rosmini College and plays for Northern Rovers men’s first team where he has been involved for a couple of years now. His talents have been recognized on a national level being selected alongside Platform athletes Kaea Rongonui & Jonah Pastiroff to represent the NZ Secondary Schools U19 team. We’re super excited to see how Cooper goes at ENMU.

From Cooper:

“After a number of calls with the coach I chose ENMU because it looked like the best fit for me and my goals. Platform have been amazing to work with over the past year and I can’t imagine going on this journey with anyone else. Platform provided some great guidance through this process and I’m grateful to have them on my side. I am looking forward to going to the US because it sounds like a once in a lifetime experience that I couldn’t let pass me by.”
