We have 4 Platform athletes joining the Northeastern State Men’s Soccer program. Coach Czlonka was so pumped when we came to an agreement on Hiro Nagahama-Sequera that he wanted more! Following that he signed Flynn Mulligan, Oliver Peters and Luke Allport. We are hoping our team of NZ recruits can help bolster the already strong NSU program. Located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma they compete in the Great American Conference in NCAA Division 2. Over the past 10 years NSU has gone 0.500 or better in all but one season in a very competitive conference where they will come up against another Platform athlete Jonah Pastiroff.

Flynn Mulligan is from Tauranga, New Zealand and plays for Otumoetai FC. He is a talented midfielder who definitely knows how to find the back of the net. Flynn has started the 2022 season with 6 goals and 6 assists in his first 7 games, and we are hoping his form can continue on when he puts on the NSU strip this August.

From Flynn:

“I want to go over to America for many reasons, but the main reason is to see how far I can go in my career in football, and I think that going over to America is the best future for me. I also think that the experience will be once in a lifetime and will really widen my horizon. I understand that the college system in the USA is massive, and they take their sports and learning seriously, which I am really excited about and keen to be a part of.”

“Apart from the obvious reason of trying to make a career in football, I also want to come out of this with a university degree which I know I am capable of doing. I am a very dedicated and hard worker, competitive student, and learner, as seen in my football and school results. I’ve proven over time at school that I can achieve the goals I want through hard work and dedication, and I take it very seriously.”
