Patrick Hay signed a soccer scholarship with Mt Olive University in 2018, an NCAA Division II university located in North Carolina.

Patrick and his family reached out to us at the end of 2017. Patrick was currently at an NAIA school called Cumberland University. Patrick was placed there by another agency in New Zealand and was not having the best time. He is a very fast striker and winger, and perfect for the college soccer game. When we heard his concerns and issues with his current team, we got to work right away.

Mt Olive University competes in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas which include schools from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. The coach at Mt Olive really liked Patrick’s college video and reached out quickly. The best thing about Mt Olive is they are on big family and support each other. Everyone is very positive and they have great academic support systems to help their student-athletes. When Patrick arrived on campus it was great to hear positive reports about the team and the college.

Patrick had some lousy luck, however, and just after playing a few games he hurt his calf muscle which meant he could not play any more. He tried competing with this injury, but it was too painful.
