Laetitia Rizk is a tennis athlete from Beirut, Lebanon, who signed with Stetson University for the fall of 2021.
Before her time at Stetson, Laetitia had already been making waves as a tennis athlete in Lebanon. She was the No. 1 U16 and U18 in Lebanon, No. 1 during her senior year, then No. 2 in the ladies category in Lebanon. She was also the captain of the Fed Cup Lebanese team U16 category in 2019 in Sri Lanka and part of the Fed Cup national team in U16 and 14.
Stetson University is a private university located in DeLand, Florida. It was founded in 1883 and is one of Florida’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education. Stetson is known for its strong academic programs, commitment to liberal arts education, and vibrant campus community. It is an NCAA Division I college and competes in the ASUN Conference.
Stetson is also home to some jaw-dropping athletic facilities across a range of different sports. Its weight room is a 4,000+ square foot facility and is used by over 400 student-athletes on an annual basis. With a variety of exercise machines and free weights, the equipment is top-of-the-line and goes a long way in improving the athletic performance of all Stetson University athletes.
Its tennis centre, officially named the “Mandy Stoll Tennis Centre”, is a state-of-the-art facility that underwent an extensive renovation in anticipation of hosting the 2010 Atlantic Sun Conference Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships!
During Laetitia’s spring dual season, she only competed in two matches and won both of them and was also named to the ASUN Academic Honor Roll! It’s been a joy to watch Laetitia’s athletic and academic career continue to flourish, and we wish her luck for the upcoming season!
