#PSMBEST is our way of spotlighting the student-athletes within the Platform Sports Management network who are excelling in their sport, academics, or personal journey. These are not just any athletes — they’re part of the Platform family, and we’re proud to have played a role in their development and success.
Zack Swanwick and the Florida Gators are charging into the NCAA Tournament with serious momentum after winning the SEC Championship at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia. Ranked No. 9 nationally, the Gators took down No. 6 Oklahoma, No. 2 Auburn, and finished strong with a 4–1 win over Texas A&M in the final. Zack played a key role, securing a 1-up victory in the championship match to help claim the program’s 17th SEC title. With NCAA Regionals starting May 8 and the national championship later this month at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, Florida is shaping up as a serious contender.
From proud dad Vinnie Swanwick:
"Very proud parent day today — Florida Gators Men's Golf are SEC Champions. It doesn’t get much better than that in college golf. It’s hard to explain how happy we are, not just with the result, but with the University of Florida as a whole. The team, the support crew — it's just next level."
A huge congratulations to Duncan McCall and Chris Zhang from New Zealand, who helped lead the University of Montana to the Big Sky Conference Championship last week in Arizona. With the win, Montana punches their ticket to the NCAA National Tennis Championship, where they’ll face off against #3 ranked University of Texas in the first round.
It’s a massive milestone for both athletes — especially for Duncan, who wraps up his debut season by being named Big Sky Freshman of the Year. We’re proud to see these two Kiwis thriving on the U.S. college stage.
Congratulations to Finn Burridge and the Quinnipiac men’s tennis team, who have won the MAAC Tournament for the second year running and secured their spot in the NCAA Tournament. After earning their first-ever MAAC Regular Season Title, the Bobcats entered as the No. 1 seed, defeating Niagara (4-1) in the semifinals and Rider (4-1) in the final.
Next up: the NYC Regional, where they’ll face #25 ranked Clemson in the opening round of NCAA play. With a tight-knit team culture and strong season form, Quinnipiac is ready to compete.
Congratulations to Liam Harvey, who has qualified for the NCAA Midwest Super Regional! Originally from New Zealand, Liam has been a key contributor to the Tiffin University Men’s Golf Team and will now represent the Tiffin Dragons at St. Joseph Country Club on May 8. An incredible achievement and well-earned opportunity — we’re proud to see Liam continuing to push forward on the U.S. college golf stage.
Congratulations to Alec Prentice from New Zealand, who played a key role in helping USC Upstate Men's Golf win the Big South Conference Championship — the first conference title in program history. Alec and the team now head into NCAA postseason play with momentum and belief, marking a historic moment for both the athlete and the program.
Earlier this year, Venetia Hickey was named Top Overall Female Player at a local water polo camp, impressing coaches with her skill, composure, and competitive drive. Her standout performance earned her an invitation to compete at the prestigious Long Beach Tournament in California this May. Venetia has also been named to the New Zealand Under 18 Women’s Squad, where she’ll train in preparation for the 2026 World Aquatics U18 World Championships.
Congratulations, Venetia—an incredible achievement and an exciting journey ahead!
