University of Florida-bound Zack Swanwick is putting on yet another incredible performance at this year’s Australian Open at the Lakes Golf Club in Sydney. Our up-and-coming golf prospect kicked off the tournament yesterday by hitting an opening round of 67!
Swanwick’s recent win at the Australian Junior Amateur Championship gained him access to compete in the Australian Open, and it’s safe to say he’s already proved himself amongst his opponents. From his opening round, he was only four off the lead and tied for eighth place.
He swung three birdies and an eagle on the par-five eighth hole and rounded off with a two for a front-nine 30. Zack maintains an excellent opportunity to place in the cut of 60.
Regardless of the outcome, Zack has achieved an incredible milestone. Hats off to him and his team!
