Although Joshua Gill is currently competing for a Junior College, his recent performance at the Gerald Richey UTA Invitational saw him running at NCAA Division 1 times and even beating out other athletes from D1 programs!
Josh is a Liverpool native who moved to Nelson, New Zealand, in 2017. Before his move to Hill College in the fall of this year, he already had an incredibly impressive track and cross-country resume under his belt. With four 1st place finishes across a number of different cross country meets which date back to 2021, there was no doubt he would make an impact at whatever college he chose to compete for.
To kick off this season with such an impressive performance at the Gerald Richey UTA Invitational against some very worthy adversaries is precisely how we saw the start of Joshua’s college career kicking off, and we couldn’t be more proud to see him thriving in the American college system!
In the 3.12-mile event, Gill placed 7th out of 62 other athletes with a total time of 15:19.5 and an average mile time of 04:54.7!
