Scott Cathcart is a lacrosse athlete from Hamilton, New Zealand who has recently signed a deal with Chowan University for the Fall of 2023.
Chowan University is a private Christian university located in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, the university emphasises holistic education that integrates faith and learning. Chowan is an NCAA Division II college and competes in the Gulf South Conference.
Scott was the Hamilton Boys’ High School lacrosse captain in 2022, the captain of the Waikato U18 team, and he also recently made the New Zealand U18 national lacrosse team. These accolades have all lead to his signing with Chowan University, making him one of the first Kiwi athletes to land a scholarship in an American college for lacrosse.
