Orlando Casey is a New Zealand native who attended Sacred Heart College before we aided him in securing a rugby deal at Davenport University for the spring of 2023.
Davenport University is a private institution situated in Grand Rapids, Michigan, offering a diverse range of career-oriented undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. It is an NCAA Division II college and competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Although Casey has been a member of the Davenport University men’s rugby team for a short amount of time, he has already made a significant impact within the team. He was instrumental to Davenport’s win over Arkansas State University in their tenth match for the 15’s season on March 18. Casey scored the second try in a close game, which ended with a result of 17-14 against the Red Wolves.
Although it’s early in Casey’s collegiate career, he has already shown his prowess within the Davenport University men’s rugby squad and we can’t wait to see him continue to perform in this upcoming season!
