In college water polo, certain athletes stand out not only for their incredible skills but also for their unwavering dedication and passion for the sport. Bella Raynes, hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, is undoubtedly one such athlete who is making a significant splash in her college water polo career at West Valley College.

Before her move to West Valley College in the fall of 2023, Bella honed her water polo prowess through years of hard work and commitment. She started her journey at Pasadena Intermediate School, where her talent for the sport began to shine. Her passion for water polo led her to the Waitakere Water Polo Club, where she continued to develop her skills and gain invaluable experience.

At Western Springs College, Bella’s talents truly began to flourish. Her dedication to the sport and her relentless work ethic made her a standout player. Her time at Western Springs College prepared her for the next level and instilled in her the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, which have continued to guide her in her college journey.

Since arriving at West Valley College, Bella Raynes has wasted no time making her mark. In just 11 games this year, she has already proven to be a force to be reckoned with. Her impressive stats include 18 goals, 11 assists, and 14 steals, showcasing her versatility and all-around excellence in the pool.

As we celebrate Bella Raynes’ incredible start to her college water polo career, it’s clear that she embodies the qualities of a true athlete – determination, skill, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
