Max DeWinter is off to Florida this fall. He has signed with Palm Beach Atlantic University, a powerhouse NCAA Division 2 program that competes in the Sunshine State Conference. This is one of the toughest conferences in the country, with a total of 9 national titles from teams in the conference. Palm Beach is now one of the most feared teams in this conference, winning the conference 3 out of the last 4 seasons. They have some outstanding state-of-the-art facilities, fantastic academics, and are located in West Palm Beach, Florida. You will struggle to find a more attractive Division 2 school, so we are super excited for Max to be a part of their program.
Max is an athletic left-sided player from Auckland, New Zealand and went to Westlake Boys High School, NZ’s largest all-boys school. Max also plays for East Coast Bays FC. Max is a fantastic student-athlete, a star for Westlake’s 1st XI, while also maintaining fantastic grades and earning a number of awards for his contribution back to his school/community. He has earned both Duke of Edinburgh Bronze & Silver awards, was a part of of the Westlake debating team that won the Auckland Schools Debating Junior Championship, and also was a part of a program through Westlake boys that went to the local primary schools two days before school each week to help younger kids with their reading and maths.
We are super excited to see where Max’s journey takes him. And super excited to see him put on the Sailfish strip later this year.
